RayTKpril Challenge 2024
In the spirit of Genuary, RayTKpril challenges artists to use RayTK to create art with a month of daily prompts in April 2024. The challenge is an opportunity for the RayTK artist community to stretch their capabilities, show off their skills and learn from each other's creations.

How to Participate
Each day, take a look at this page to see what the day's prompt is. More prompts will be added as the month progresses.
Use RayTK to create something based on that idea.
Post an image or video of what you created on social media, using the hashtags below.
Don't worry if you miss a day! Have fun and make some neat stuff!
Prompts
On Friday each week in April, another week of new prompts will be posted.
Prompts can involve using a particular operator / feature, using a certain technique, or some sort of aesthetic inspiration or goal.

Check through the tutorials on YouTube for inspiration and techniques.
Post questions in the #raytk Discord channel.
Day 1: Grid
This could be a grid shape like gridSdf or latticeSdf, or a grid layout like modulo2D/3D or gridClone.
Day 2: Star
Radial pointed shapes or patterns. This could involve a starSdf2d, a moduloPolar, a radialClone, etc.
Day 3: Revolve
Take something 2D and spin it around to create something 3D using revolve.
Day 4: Text
Either use a textSdf2d or find another way to create or use text.
Day 5: Inside
Flip a shape inside out with invert and put the camera inside it.
Day 6: Place
Create an environment, room, tunnel, or some other sort of place.
Day 7: Rainbow
Use rainbow coloring on a shape or pattern or something else.
Day 8: Nature
Plants, animals, fungi, insects, other natural stuff.
Day 9: Audio reactivity
Make it bounce or pulse or wiggle or whatever!
Day 10: Simple shape complex shading
Simple shape with interesting lighting and shading (multiple lights, gradients, etc).
Day 11: 2D pattern
Use a field with a render2D to make a pattern, maybe with layering or using one field to modulate another.
Day 12: Camera input
Use a camera (or video clip) to as a texture or field or as a control source.
Day 13: Fisheye
Use a fisheyeCamera to reconnect to your aquatic roots!
Day 14: Shadow
Explore the darkness, become one with the night, and do something shadows!
Day 15: Glitch
Shred those pixels, obliterate the shapes, push things farther than they were meant to go
Day 16: Negative Space
It's all about the notes you don't play.
Day 17: Monolith
Large block in a space, with some sort of significance, possibly with supernatural origins. Obelisks also accepted.
Day 18: Feedback
A process that loops back into itself, like video feedback, or using the previous rendered frame within the next rendered frame.
Day 19: Fire and Ice
Literal or figurative, hot and cold
Day 20: Orbit
Big thing with little thing(s) orbiting around it
Day 21: Snowflake
Radially symmetrical crystal geometry
Day 22: OP Art
High contrast, interference patterns, illusions, dazzle.
Day 23: Time
Time travel, echoes, delays, stop motion. Explore the fourth dimension.
Day 24: Growth
Start small, get big, using something more than just scale.
Day 25: Decay
Old, eroded, falling apart. Embrace the inevitable.
Day 26: Creature
Make a friend (or enemy)!
Day 27: Cubes
Hot new content for OnlyCubes.
Day 28: Liquid
Viscous or not, dripping, puddles, oceans, rivers, flowing or still.
Day 29: Loop
Seamless cycles, whether in time or space.
Day 30: Combination
Take two of your favorites of the work you've done so far for the challenge and combine them somehow.
